My equestrian experience began in high school when I started working at a friend's private horse stable. I fed and groomed the horses, mucked the stalls, and took care of any other jobs the owner needed. The owner kindly allowed me to ride the horses and go on trail rides with her. However, my official schooling did not begin until I came to Juniata in 2007. I joined the Equestrian Team and immediately began taking weekly lessons and competing in the IHSA at the beginner walk/trot level. I look forward to riding with the Juniata Equestrian Team until I graduate, and I hope to continue playing with horses for the rest of my life.
