Fun Fact: I have been attacked by fire ants while in Ghana and in Israel.
I started riding horses when I was eight, getting right into hunter jumpers. I bought my own horse when I was 13,
an appaloosa named "Drea Geranimo Warrior", which we changed to Samson. I showed Samson in local shows and then in
the Oregon High School Equestrian Team. Although Samson was a jumper, we attempted many other events such as trail,
dressage, gaming, team penning, and drill. Most of those events turned out to be a disaster (Samson stood in the middle
of the ring bucking during the entire drill event managing to kick the team president). As a high school graduation
present I went to my first A show where I was reserve champion. I joined the equestrian team at Juniata my freshman year,
showing in IHSA. This last summer I got a job training two horses, an Arab and an Azteca, as well as giving lessons
to the owner. Riding is more than a hobby to me, its also a passion.
