| Shak-A-Thon
Shak-A-Thon is
an annual JC Habitat for Humanity fundraiser to raise awareness
about poverty housing in the Huntingdon area and nationally.
At the same time, we raise money to assist in building houses
during the spring break Collegiate Challenge. This experience
opens the eyes of the participants, allowing them to experience
exactly what it is like to sleep outdoors in the winter. |

New
York Times
We deliver the
New York Times newspapers on Juniata’s campus. This
is a large fundraiser for JCHfH, where we are paid to deliver
newspapers to academic and the dormitory buildings every weekday.
This program allows us to raise money and educate the campus
simultaneously. |

Hire-A-Habitator
Club members do
work for faculty members. This is a good way to see a different
side of you professors. Jobs include cleaning barns of the
professors, babysitting their children, running their parents
to Bingo, cleaning windows, raking leaves, and shoveling snow.
You also get to know someone new by working with them in a
job. |
 |
Taping Kepple
As a fundraiser, Habitat tapes the President of JC to the wall of the gym during a volleyball game. People are charged $1 per yard to help keep the president attached to the wall. The money raised benefits habitat. |

to advocate HfH. Juniata’s events include: hundreds
