I am
involved with Habitat for Humanity because it provides a
great service to the community and because it is soooo much
fun. It has given me so many new friends and a feeling of
belonging to something important. It has helped me to see
what I want to do with my life. Spring Break was one of
the greatest trips of my life. Spring Break '05, wooo!!!
Get involved. It may seem like you don't have time but you
do make the time. It's worth it!

Habitat
for Humanity made me realize how amazing my life is and how
lucky I am. It's made me a better person. It's made me more
aware of the surroundings and maybe a little more humble.
Spring break 2005 was absolutely amazing, the people I met,
the friendships I made and of course the memories. I loved
that we were able to do so much we took nothing and made it
into something extensive and it was all because of how well
we worked together.

Habitat
helps me get involved with the community. It's a great experience
and it makes me feel good knowing that I'm helping a family
who deserves the house that we're building. It's a wonderful
feeling just seeing their faces as their house is being built.
Spring Break was the best experience ever. I got to know my
fellow habitators and we got to work in a different environment.
It was a blast and I never had a dull moment! I never heard
of Habitat for Humanity until I came to Juniata. It's a really
good organization who helps people who are in need of a safe
place to live. Knowing that something I helped build will
protect families in the future is a great feeling. I'll continue
to work with Habitat until the day I die!! It's not just a
club, IT'S AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE! Not only have I learned
to build a house, but I've also learned a lot about the people
who work and who are involved with Habitat. The family we
are working with right now help me realize what we're doing
and how great it is for the future of everyone! Plus all the
club members are awesome people and it's great to just hang
with them. It's also nice to build with your fellow friends
and friendly carpenters! There's nothing better.

Advice
for potential members...
If you are interested,
even in the slightest bit, come to a meeting and see what the club
is like. I went to the first meeting my freshman year just
to see what it is like, and I instantly became heavily involved.
-- Jared Beerman
There is a place
for everyone...even if you have no building experience. its
a great way to make a huge difference in the lives of people in
the community, while having a great time and learning a lot at the
same time.

Only good will come of it. You will meet amazing people, who
are interested in everything... not just Habitat and are never boring.
The organization is a great cause, and who wouldn't want to help
end poverty?
