Mountain Day 2009
Get ready to walk on the wild side!
Mountain Day will run from 11am until 3pm at the Raystown Lake Oak Pavilion.
Transportation:
Buses are scheduled to leave from the Ellis steps approximately every 30 minutes. The first bus will leave at 10:30am and the last bus will leave Oak Pavilion at 3pm.
**Remember that space is limited on each bus, so plan ahead to make sure that you’ll get to the lake in time for lunch, and that you’ll catch a ride back to campus.**
Limited parking is also available at the park for cars. Please be sure to park in the parking lot and not in the grass.
The first 200 people to arrive at Mountain Day will get their own ANIMAL PRINT SLAP BRACELET! We will also be handing out prizes all day for things such as first down the slip n’ slide in a speedo, first to make it to the top of race to the top, first to tip a canoe, etc;
All Day Events:
- Tye-Dye(be sure to bring what you want to tye-dye!)
- Canoes
- Bouncy Boxing Inflatable
- Race to the Top Inflatable
- Air Brush Tattoos
- Tarzan and Jane and Lion’s Mouth Photos: All Day! (Be sure to bring your camera!)
- Slip-n-Slide
- Swimming in the lake
Schedule of Events:
- Lunch: 11:30- 1:30 ***Baker will be closed, so come out to Mountain Day and remember your student ID number!***
- Tug-of-War: 1:40 (approximate times below, Listen for Announcements!!)
- Freshman v. sophomores: 1:40
- Juniors v. Seniors: 1:50
- Winner v. Winner: 2:00
- Ultimate Winner v. Faculty/Staff: 2:10
- Movie on the Lawn with candy and popcorn: 8:00pm.
Volleyballs, footballs, and soccer balls will be available for your use, but feel free to bring your own too!
What to Bring:
- Swim Suits/Change of Clothes
- Your own Horseshoes,
- Frisbees, Bocce Balls, etc;
- Your Camera
- Something to tye-dye
- Spare change to donate to sponsor an animal at the Pittsburgh Zoo All of your friends!
