Activities of Muslim Students Association,
Spring 2006
Eid Dinner, February 18th,
2006:
Sponsored by a lot of clubs at
Juniata College, including the Muslim Students Association,
the Eid dinner was held in Baker Hall and it attracted more
than 300 people. There were many activities during the
evening: The food was delicious, there was a debka dance
from the Middle East and an Indian dance, there was a
presentation about how Eid is celebrated in the Muslim
World, and most importantly, the event was the biggest on
campus in its tenth anniversary.

Panel Discussion about the
Cartoons Issue:
The Muslim Students Association
held a panel discussion about the cartoons issue that has
created a lot of controversy in both the Muslim World and
the West. The evening started by showing a short chapter
from PBS's documentary:
"Muhammad: The Legacy
of a Prophet." Afterwards, a number of Muslim
students answered some questions and provided their thoughts
about this issue and the future of Western-Islamic
relations.
