Mission Statement

It is the mission of this organization to promote the interests and provide a network of support for those students returning to college on a full-time basis at a non-traditional age.

This organization, PARSO, will work to create and improve programs to assist their members in their social and academic transition to life in a college learning community. The organization will be a voice toward better serving and representing the needs of the members of this diverse group. PARSO will work to make college faculty and staff more aware of the problems and needs associated with the students of this group while searching for reasonable solutions. This group will participate with the student government in a positive manner by filling a seat on the campus senate. This support group will work to provide personal and educational support to all members of this organization and to serve as role models and mentors to the traditional college student body.

Our Mascot

PARSO Mascot

For those of you that feel like your are living two seperate lives and being pulled in 8 different directions, you are not alone.

Returning non-traditional students struggle with this way of life each day, wishing we were like an octopus with 8 arms so we could manage our homework, classes, traveling to and from college, work, bills, children, family, and housework, to name a few.
