This page of the website holds most of the information you will
find on the "Surviving JC" pamphlet that PARSO hands out during
PAR Orientation.
Parking can be a real problem at Juniata.
There are restricted lots and the borough street sweeping schedule
to contend with. Permits (PAR Student) are available from Campus
Security for $10.00. When you are getting a sticker, make sure you tell them you are a PAR student. These permits do not allow you to park
in lots marked "Faculty/Staff/Visitors," (parking in those
lots will result in at least a $10.00 fine). However, there are 7 parking
spaces in the Good Hall lot reserved for PAR students with a PAR
student sticker.
Here is the Borough street sweeping schedule (restricts parking
from 7:00 AM until 12:00 noon) that effects Juniata students:
Monday - Moore Street-the street that runs between
Good Hall and the Library.
Tuesday - Mifflin Street-the street that is directly
behind Good Hall and Brumbaugh Science Center.
Wednesday - Washington Street-the street that is
one block behind Good Hall.
Friday - the side streets-17th Street, 18th Street,
etc.

You are assigned a PO Box located at the
JC Post Office in the basement of Ellis Hall. To receive mail, your
address is your PO box number in front of the words "Juniata College",
for example, 1234 Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA 16652. If you
order something and want it delivered to JC, this style of address
will insure that UPS, FedEX, etc., will deliver it. Post Office
hours are 10AM-5PM.

Your JC ID card is your lifeline at Juniata. This quote from the
JC Security Webpage says it all, "The College ID card must be presented
for admission to meals and to many of the activities at the College,
including home athletic events and various college sponsored programs.
It also is used for checking out materials at the library. Used
primarily for identification, the card should be carried at all
times." By showing your ID, you will get into JC athletic events
free. You will also get tickets to Artist Series performances free.
Other lectures and performances (where there is a charge for admission)
are reduced for students who show their ID.
Your ID card will also get you discounts around Huntingdon. McDonald's,
Burger King, Hoss's (Monday-Thursday), and the movie theater downtown
(Tuesday) all accept the JC student ID. Check around, there could
be more.
