Why party anywhere else on campus when you can party with your fellow physics students and professors! The night before reading day will become a jolly good time of food and drink. This year it will be held at Allison's pad. More details to come.

All Day in the physics lounge
Lounge Day is a day where we take some time to do something nice for the Physics Lounge, our home away from home. We will be hanging around the lounge, taking the departmental assessment, enjoying a pizza party, and ritualistically throwing out some moldy hot-sauce.
SPS Zone 3 & 7 Conference

Saint Peter's College hosts the SPS Zone 3 & 7 Conference and we are going!!!
This is from David Jacome, the president of SPS at Saint Peter's College: "So far, I've been working hard to bring the best keynote speakers from different parts of the world to our conference next year. The main theme of our conference will be Plasmas: The Fourth State that Matters!!!. I wanted to let each of you know how important it is to be a part of this experience."

Sigma Pi Sigma Congress at Fermilab

The Sigma Pi Sigma 2008 Quadrennial Congress will be held November 6-8 at Fermilab in Chicago and Juniata is taking a van or two of SPS members to the National Accelorator Laboratory!
Every four years physics students, alumni, and faculty gather for a Sigma Pi Sigma Congress. They spend a packed weekend interacting with distinguished speakers, debating common concerns for the discipline and society, and touring significant physics locations.
